There are three different ways of folding the flat nappy so try and see which
one you prefer:
Envelope fold
Take each corner and fold to the centre. Fold the whole nappy into three. Open
up the back. Optionally fold a booster* into a pad and place this on top of the
nappy. Then simply place a liner on top of the booster pad. Then lay the baby
on top. Bring the front pad up to the front and the wings round to the sides to
the middle. Secure with the nappi nippa, hook one side, pull and hook the
second side, pull and hook down. Finish off with a wrap. It is important to
ensure that the entire nappy is securely tucked inside the wrap.
Kite fold
Lay the nappy in front of you like a diamond. Then take the side corners to the
middle line. Fold the top down and the bottom part upwards. Optionally fold a
booster* into a pad and place this on top of the nappy. Then simply place a
liner on top of the booster pad. Lay the baby on the top, bring the bottom part
between the legs and sides to the middle. Secure with the nappi nippa, hook one
side, pull and hook the second side, pull and hook down. Finish off with a
wrap. It is important to ensure that the entire nappy is securely tucked inside
the wrap.
Another way to fold a flat nappy
First fold the nappy in half and then in half again. Grab the corner and pull
outwards so you make a triangle shape. Turn the whole nappy over and then fold
the central panel to make a pad. Optionally fold a booster* into a pad and
place this on top of the nappy. Then simply place a liner on top of the booster
pad. Lay the baby on top, bring the pad up between the legs and the side
corners to the centre. Secure with the nappi nippa, hook one side, pull and
hook the second side, pull and hook down. Finish off with a wrap. It is
important to ensure that the entire nappy is securely tucked inside the wrap.

Lay the prefold nappy in front of you with the thickest part running
horizontally. Fold into three and then simply lay inside of the wrap.
Optionally fold a booster* into a pad and place this on top of the nappy. Then
simply place a liner on top of the booster pad. Lay the baby on top. And secure
the nappy with the wrap making sure that the entire nappy is tucked firmly
inside.
First-Use Instructions
Wash both the nappy and wrap before the first use (see instructions below).
Nappy Washing Instructions
Remove the soiled nappy and then shake off any solids into the toilet. Then put
the nappy into the nappy net and place this in a bucket with a lid. Can be kept
either dry or you can soak the nappies in the bucket until wash time. When the
net is full, open up the cord to allow the nappies to tumble into your machine
and then place the entire net into the washing machine and wash at 40ºC or
60ºC. Do not use fabric conditioner.
Wrap Washing Instructions
You can use your wraps several times until they become soiled. Often a hand
wash will be sufficient to clean them. However you may wish to machine wash
them at 40ºC or 60ºC at the same time as the nappies. Do NOT soak the wraps. Do
not use bleaching agents or fabric conditioner on the wraps. Also ensure that
you do the velcro up so that nothing else sticks to the wrap. You should
hang-dry the wraps rather than tumble dry them if possible.
*a booster is simply another flat nappy that is folded into
a pad inside the wrap to give increased absorbency and added protection.
